Our calling

Psychnic was founded in 2025 for the many “Georges” out there who are disillusioned with and are let down by or are unhappy with their providers and the mental health system.

Where it started

Psychnic was founded out of the frustration when the founder, Provider George Kieh, was not yet a provider, was a patient of a provider, seeing the provider for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or adult ADHD. As a patient, he was not listened to, he did not feel respected. He was looked at suspiciously as someone “seeking stimulants”. The provider would not show up for his own appointment when George showed up.

A needle in a haystack

While it is true that the field of psychiatry and mental health has many excellent, caring, and compassionate providers who truly put patients first, they are few and far between. Finding them is like finding a needle in a haystack. George finally found the right provider after wasting valuable time and money.

You’re in the driver’s seat

At Psychnic, we will treat you or your loved ones with respect, listen to you as an expert on your experiences and your mental health challenges. We will put you in the “driver’s seat” and partner with you to come up with your goal of care.

« About Provider George Kieh »

Caring for patients is the only job he’s ever done

Provider George Kieh, MSN, APN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC,-C is double-board certified with the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB) as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He is licensed in New Jersey and New York, and is a member of the American Nurses Association (ANA) and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Provider George is also a family nurse practitioner. He has been caring for patients for over 23 years: first as a home health aide, then a registered nurse, a family nurse practitioner, and now a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner.

The once-invisible enemy

Over his many years of putting patients first, George faced challenges of his own. His relationships with family and friends, performance in school, productivity, business, and job suffered, all due to short-term forgetfulness, distractions, lack of focus, poor time management, and disorganization. He did not know the cause of his struggle for decades.

While studying to become a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, he realized his behavior and struggles were like those of people with ADHD. He sought an evaluation and was diagnosed with ADHD. He is currently being treated for the disorder, and is picking up the broken pieces and putting his life back together.

"My lived experience informs and shapes my practice and the way I care for my patients, with empathy, understanding, respect, and compassion."

“Life is better knowing I have ADHD than when I didn’t know. I know myself now.”
